'THE AUTHOR OF MY OWN LIFE' !........

CHILE....... ARGENTINA......BRAZIL......

Well, what can I say!....except Yippee! 'I'm over the moon with excitement' I'm going on a Grand Tour of South America. I've paid my deposit, I've booked my place, and so, on the 16th March to April 1st 2008 I will be spending 17 days visiting this vast continent's most spectacular countries, I will be dancing to the rhythms of Latin American music.....looking in wonder at the soaring mountains, grasslands and glaciers.......discovering the rich culture and vibrant spirit developed from great Inca civilizations, blending with modern cosmopolitan cities.....it is going to be absolutely fantastically wonderful!!!
I shall be visiting......*Santiago * The Andes* Buenos Aires* Iguacu Falls* Rio de Janeiro.....I will be seeing places that I have previously only heard mentioned in songs i. e. Copacabana, Ipanema, and I'll see Sugar Loaf Mountain....etc..etc.
The time for thinking and talking are over, this is the time for doing!...and action! Now I have started, I just have to keep up the momentum and not stop.

'I'VE DECIDED TO GET UP AND LOOK FOR THE CIRCUMSTANCES I WANT IN MY LIFE........AND IF I CAN'T FIND THEM........I WILL MAKE THEM'!

Hi Domenica-
I am so pleased for you. I know how revitalising it will be for you to get away and reflect upon your life's journey.
South America, wow, what a great idea. The discovery of new and varied cultures sounds like an exciting prospect.
I have been awed by the ancient Mayan ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula of South East Mexico. So I know that you will be in for a similar inspiring experience.
Will you be doing a 'Blog from Buenos Aires'? Is that picture you have posted Angel Falls in Venezuela? Speaking of 'Latin' America. Why is it called Latin America? When I was near Belize I did not hear anyone speak Latin. I'm fairly sure most of the locals were speaking Spanish and English! (all these questions..sorry :-))
Have a wonderful time Domenica.
Kind regards Klahanie.

Great news to hear that you are going away, Domenica. Oops! That didn’t come out quite right, but I think you know what I mean.

Indeed, it seems to me that what you are going to do demands a great deal of confidence, but as you say in your previous blog, perhaps it is time to stop “sinking” or even just “surviving” and get on in there and start “swimming” by giving yourself some richly deserved “Domenica time”. I’m sure that most of us are aiming to take control of our lives in that way and so in doing this you are quite the inspiration.

Also, you are bound to have a great time. My own Dad went to Brazil and visited the Sugar Loaf Mountain and has said that it was one of the greatest experiences of his life. And that’s quite something coming from him because at one point he was quite a globetrotter. In fact, I sometimes wonder whether there are other little Davids running about in Germany, Brazil or Turkey!

So, I hope you have a well deserved wonderful time and who knows what adventures you might be able to tell us about on your blog. I also thank you for your own kind and supportive comments on my own blog and hope you will be in touch again when I write a new post.

With Very Best Wishes,
David.xxx.
